We each need other living beings — places we build and companions with which to enjoy them. They bring a completeness often harder to find with other humans.
My wife communicates with her plants, and when she threatens a “severe pruning,” they listen (and certainly do I, but that’s another subject!) I talk to and lie on the floor with my canine friends. My feline dominates my life. But the sum of these relationships is voluntary and non-judgmental and that is just wonderful and irreplaceable.
They will all come together in your own, unique and delightful way.
